Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division (WHD) List of District
Offices The Wage and Hour mission is to promote and achieve
compliance with labor standards to protect and enhance the welfare of
the Nation's workforce. The WHD enforces Federal minimum wage,
overtime pay, recordkeeping, and child labor requirements of the Fair
Labor Standards Act. WHD also enforces the Migrant and Seasonal
Agricultural Worker Protection Act, the Employee Polygraph Protection
Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, wage garnishment provisions of
the Consumer Credit Protection Act, and a number of employment
standards and worker protections as provided in several immigration
related statutes. Additionally, WHD administers and enforces the
prevailing wage requirements of the Davis Bacon Act and the Service
Contract Act and other statutes applicable to Federal contracts for
construction and for the provision of goods and services.

National Labor Relations
Board The National Labor Relations Board is an independent federal
agency created by Congress in 1935 to administer the National Labor
Relations Act, the primary law governing relations between unions and
employers in the private sector.
Occupational Safety and
Health Administration Offices OSHA's mission is to assure the
safety and health of America's workers by setting and enforcing
standards; providing training, outreach, and education; establishing
partnerships; and encouraging continual improvement in workplace
safety and health.
Office of
Federal Compliance Programs OFCCP is responsible for ensuring that
employers doing business with the Federal government comply with the
laws and regulations requiring nondiscrimination. This mission is
based on the underlying principle that employment opportunities
generated by Federal dollars should be available to all Americans on
an equitable and fair basis.
