EVacuation and ACcommodation of People with Disabilities

What will be the results?

Project Safe EV-AC will take safe evacuation beyond “traditional” evacuation and address the accommodation of individuals with cognitive, psychiatric, respiratory, hearing, vision, motor, and temporary impairments such as pregnancy.

The Project will provide comprehensive training materials to assist with safely evacuating people with disabilities from locations such as places that care for the aged, prisons and jails, educational facilities, hospitals, public assembly properties, homes, hotels and motels, stores, manufacturing facilities, eating and drinking establishments, lodgings, and office buildings.

Project Safe EV-AC will integrate best practices and offer free information and training materials that you can use. These materials will provide answers and help you find solutions!
